Pics are here...

OK, so long story short.
  • I have been slack and have not updated this blog and apparently have kept some of you in a heightened state of suspense  ;)
  • The scope and budget on this thing crept completely out of control.
  • The end result is what I wanted, and more...
  • I learned more then I ever wanted about how to deal with contractors on issues like schedule, estimates, staffing, quality, expecactations etc..
  • I and my daughter have decided to detox from places like Lowes, Home Depot etc.
  • The laminate floors were installed, and drywall put up and painted ( just hours before the tenants moved in. (YES, I HAD PEOPLE WORKING 24/7 TO MEET MY DEADLINE)
  • I went from 1 3 bedroom and 1 bath house to a 4/2 with an additional 800 square feet.
  • I don't expect to realize the return on this for several years with this downturn in the market.
  • I DO plan on holding until I do  ;)
  • I spared no expense on materials.
  • The tenant is living happily  ever after in the addition.
  • I will be eternally tweaking this place for years to come...
